About Us

Bauman Bites was founded in 2026 by Katlyn Bauman. Katlyn is a pastry chef with a specific interest in chocolate and candy, and in using the Bauman Family's fruit butters. Katlyn married into the Bauman family in 2018 and started working at the apple butter factory in 2023 - you'll find her there every fall organizing production and giving tours.

Katlyn develops, tests and hand-makes all products in small batches. All products are made in Phoenixville, PA. 

Katlyn didn't grow up baking much (though she has a lifelong love of eating baked goods!). She started baking with friends shortly after college and got more and more ambitious with her baking projects. She secretly loves baking disasters since mistakes can be funny and a good learning opportunity. This is a good skill since not every product she develops works out! She knows most people don't love their baked goods to fall flat (sometimes literally) so she works hard to get all the bugs out before selling her mixes to customers.
